​Kim is a young small-town girl very close to her older sister Chloe, who is a successful model in New York. One day, she discovers on TV News that her sister died in a plane crash somewhere in South America during a photo shoot, which she doesn't believe happened. Even though she has evidence to prove that what they are saying on the news is a lie, no one believes her. In response, she leaves her small town and comes to New York to get into her sister’s life and to risk her life to find out what really happened to her sister and how she can find her. She only has one partially burnt journal, which she received before the crash date, which proves that the whole news was a hoax. With the journal, with the help of many celebrities in it, she starts her investigation to find out what happened to her sister with the help of some of her sister's best friends.
